Free Shipping at Two Peas in a Bucket

Now through 2/28/10 get free shipping when you spend $50 or more at Two Peas in a Bucket. Use coupon code CPDLVS.

I ordered:
  1. Hero Arts "Designer Woodgrain", "Clouds" and "Crossword Background" wood mounted stamps. (I'm not a big fan of wood mounted stamps, but these are really unique and large background stamps do tend to stamp best when mounted on a block).
  2. Postage stamp edger punch by EK Success.

You can click on the Two Peas banner to go directly to their site.

Happy shopping,

Colleen

Adornit Summer Blog Party & Blog Hop

This two-page layout is based on a sketch I created. I freehanded the 'water' shape. It's made using Hot Off The Press' Pool Water paper. I free-handed the lines using a Marvy marker in light teal. The orange brads are just regular large brass brads that can be found at an office supply store. I coated them with Colorbox orange pigment ink. Then coated in clear embossing powder and heat set. I repeated the ink and embossing again to add a layer to give the brad a little more solid coloring. The title is created using ColorBok's alpha die cuts. I used adhesive to attach the letters to the orange cardstock. Then I outlined the letters using a Zig 005 marker. Finally, I cut out the title using both X-Acto knife and scissors.  This was inspired by Kristina Werner's Thank You card which you can see here. The background stripe paper is from an 8-sheet Sunny Days Collection scrapbooking paper set found in the dollar section of Target stores. I placed a self-adhesive 8 1/2 x 11 vellum sheet under the water element and title.  Enjoy.

Sisterhood of Scrap Mystery Envie Challenge

Sisterhood of Scrap offered a lottery of Mystery Envelopes to create a layout. My name was drawn. Yay! I received my envelope in the mail yesterday. I couldn't sleep last night so I completed my layout for the challenge. My double-page layout is based on a sketch I created.

The product from the envie:
(2) My Minds Eye patterned paper
(1) My Minds Eye die cut (red arrow & "play date" journal card)
brads (green, brown, and blue)
metal anchor (silver arrow)
ribbon (cream)
leather strip (red)
button (green)

I added:
green and cream cardstock by Colorbok
brown (tone-on-tone) cardstock by Colorbok
chipboard letter (@) by Rusty Pickle 'Random Letters'
acrylic paint by Delta (wedgewood green)
Word stamp "Caution:" by Studio G VA4911 Series 17 [note: just inked part of the stamp]
StazOn ink (black)

Tools used:
Coluzzle Stampendous Swirl lowercase Alphabet
Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers (used both 1/2" & 1/4" size) - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS CORNER ROUNDER!

I hope you enjoy it,
Colleen

Sorry for the big glare on the photos and the date stamp on the right side. :(
